Yes. Between March and May 2021, a European citizen consultation regarding the European Vaccination Card was conducted as part of a European Commission project.
A total of 78,000 citizens from ten European countries participated in this survey. They were asked about their attitudes towards vaccination and the concept of tracking vaccinations. They were also shown three potential vaccination card templates.
The results indicated that 8 out of 10 participants would choose to use at least one of the vaccination card templates provided.
A primary concern expressed by participants was vaccination data privacy. In response, EUVABECO has ensured that no centralized data storage system is used. For others to access a citizen’s data, the citizen must intentionally send their data or show their European Vaccination Card (EVC) to someone else.
