Swedish stakeholders briefed on EUVABECO’s ePIL and EVC pilots

Uppsala, Sweden – 15 May – The Swedish Medical Products Agency hosted a one-hour session introducing Sweden’s medicines community to the European Commission co-funded EUVABECO project and two of its pilots: the electronic Patient Information Leaflet (ePIL) and the European Vaccination Card (EVC).

Programme highlights:

  • Åshild Olsen Faresjö (Linköping University, Sweden) outlined Sweden’s participation in EUVABECO.
  • Alain Cimino (Cimbiose, France) explained the project’s core objectives.
  • Ingrid Weindorfer (Vaccines Europe, Brussels) presented the ePIL pilot.
  • François Kaag (Syadem, France) provided details about the EVC pilot.

A Q&A session closed the meeting.

Participants came from nearly twenty organisations shaping the national pharmaceutical strategy, including the Swedish eHealth Agency, Public Health Agency of Sweden, Swedish Society of Medicine and patient-advocacy groups*.

The briefing ensured that Swedish regulators, clinicians and industry remain aligned as EUVABECO’s pilots progress toward evaluation in 2025.
